Voices By The Sea Fest 2021
Introducing Voices By The Sea 2021, a recent project created and controlled by Stiles Events T/A 1 Plus Events. Voices By The Sea 2021 is a Choral Festival, gathering voices from all over Ireland.
Irelands finest choirs, ensembles and acapella groups guide us on a journey along the coast of Ireland’s most beautiful locations, led by our MC (and renowned artist), Mickey Joe Harte. This event was filmed over a two-week period and later streamed online at voicesbytheseafest.ie
Venues: Galway Bay Hotel, The Bath Restaurant, Harvey’s Point Hotel, King Sitric Restaurant, St. Gabriel Parish, Dominicans Claddagh Church, and Song & Dance Stage School. Performers: Galway Baytones, Halleluia Gospel Choir, Balbriggan Gospel Choir, CanBelto Women’s Choir, Dolcissimo, Theresa Shore, Acapella Fellas, Lambay Singers, Bluestack Chorale, Ignite Gospel Choir, and Fingal Gospel Choir.

From online to live audience
Stiles Events created this online choral festival with the intention of having a live audience at next year’s festival Voices by The Sea 2022. This project has been made possible under the Government’s Live Performance Support Scheme, Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media.
Each performance showcased three songs from separate locations, all situated along the coast of Ireland. The inclusion of a lyrical reference to the sea / water / sailing from each choral group, tied in nicely with the theme of singing by the sea.
All groups where delighted to have had the opportunity to perform together again indoors, which has not been possible before now. Some even remarked on the occasion as being the most interesting thing they have done in 18 months.

Results
Voices By The Sea 2021 was a huge success, engaging voices from all over the country who had not had the chance to do so for quite some time. The virtual show lasted 1 hour was streamed by over 2,000 people. The event was described as a unique experience by all involved. We look forward to having a live audience next year!
